Göynük Canyon is a valley and open-air recreational area located near the town of Göynük in the Kemer district of Antalya, distinguished by its natural beauty and adventure opportunities. Surrounded by turquoise natural pools, steep rock walls, and pine forests, it is one of the region’s most popular destinations for nature walks and day trips.
Göynük Canyon is situated at the foothills of the Taurus Mountains, within a dramatic landscape where a clear river flows between high and narrow rock walls. Along the pine-forested valley, visitors encounter waterfalls, turquoise natural pools, and shaded resting areas. The canyon’s cool and humid microclimate provides an ideal escape, especially during the summer months, from the coastal heat. Thanks to its well-preserved ecosystem, the area is also home to wildlife species such as salamanders.
Göynük Canyon also functions as an adventure park. In addition to individual walks, guided canyoning tours, rafting activities, paintball areas, and a zipline line installed approximately 40 meters above ground level offer visitors diverse experiences. Near the entrance area and around the lake at the end of the walking trail, there are small businesses selling snacks and beverages, as well as a rustic restaurant by the water serving traditional Turkish grilled dishes.
